A shooting at a Munich Olympia shopping center which left nine people dead was carried out by one gunman who then killed himself .
The city of Munich on Friday incident nine people were killed and 16 others injured. According to the police data, as well as a suspect gunmen has been recovered. 18-year-old may have committed suicide. Police said at a press conference, the purpose of the attacker is not clear. He is a German citizen of Iranian origin.Sixteen people were injured, three critically. A huge manhunt was launched following reports that up to three gunmen had been involved in the attack. The body of the suspect was found about one kilometer from the Olympia shopping center in the north-western suburb of Moosach. Chancellor Angela Merkel has called a meeting of security cabinet to assess the situation.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has selected Tim Kaine, a centrist senator from Virginia, as her running mate. Clinton broke the news in a tweet late on Friday. She plans a formal announcement on Saturday. Clinton passed over more left-leaning candidates in favour of the 58-year-old senator, who is a strong supporter of free-trade agreements.
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that police have carried out raids and search at houses of BNP leaders and workers at various places of the country. Speaking at a news conference at the party central office at Nayapaltan he said police are trying to foil the rally programme announced by BNP to protest punishment to Tarique Rahman. Rizvi also said police has not given permission to hold rally in Dhaka.
Awami League leader Hasan Mahmud has said BNP accepted the earlier acquittal verdict of Tarique Zia. However, its non-acceptance of the present verdict sentencing him is tantamount to contempt of court. Speaking at a human chain organised by Bangladesh Awami Jubo Ainjibi Porishad in front of the Press Club he urged the Chief Justice to take action against BNP on contempt charge. Hasan Mahmud also called for forging mass movement against those giving shelter and assistance to the militants.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed her firm determination that the government would be successful in curbing terrorism and militancy. Speaking at the public administration award distribution ceremony at Osmani Memorial Auditorium in the capital, she directed all strata of the administration in rooting out militancy and terrorism with zero tolerance. At the same time, the Prime Minister urged to reach the real teachings of Islam to the people. Pointing to recent militant activities in the country including Gulshan and Sholakia, Sheikh Hasina said the administration has been asked to be more stringent in combating militancy. She also stressed on quick implementation of the development projects in due time overcoming all odds. Earlier, the Prime Minister handed over the first ever award to 30 officials and employees as well as institutions in recognition of their significant and innovative work in public administration.
